LLanfaelog and Bododrgan WI m embers and friends have been busy with their sewing  machines making PPE equipment for local hospitals and care homes.  Lots of fabric,  buttons, elastic etc have  been donated and being put to good use.    Good to get the community together and put our talents to good use.  Even those who don't sew have been working - collecting, delivering - even on a bicycle in one case!!  Well done everyone.

BODORGAN W.I CREATE A PLATFORM FOR SUCCESS

The Bodorgan Women’s Institute are the latest group to join Arriva Trains Wales’ ‘adopt a station’ scheme, to help improve links with local communities and customers living near unstaffed railway stations.  The scheme  offers volunteers the opportunity to care for floral displays and maintain a station garden while all maintenance and cleaning is undertaken by the Arriva’s own staff.  Member Kathleen Beard said, “The group was formed in 2013 and we presently have eleven members.  In April this year, we obtained a grant for £1,000 from the Sport Relief Community Cash fund, through the Community Foundation in Wales.  The grant added value to funding received from the ‘Spirit of 2012 - Fourteen programme’ which the Community Foundation in Wales is running in the area of Bro Aberffraw”
