Welcome to Anglesey Federation of WI’s.  Our small, but diverse Federation has sixteen WI groups who meet in various locations all over our beautiful island.  Each WI is different in character and varies in size from 10 to over 40 members.  Some groups favour sporting activities whilst others prefer to spend their time creating items with a variety of materials.

Our Federation holds several events throughout every year and we have enjoyed taking part in debates such as climate change, archery, yoga, canoeing and musical evenings to name a few.  Some events encourage members to learn new skills such as how to keep bees, improve our public speaking or how to take better photographs.

Our members are happy to embrace technology and keep up with the ever-changing world of tablets and mobile phones.  We believe that we are never too old to learn something new.

We are proud to own our own hall where the first Wi in the country met in 1915.  Our toll house which is attached to the WI hall built by Thomas Telford became a Museum in 2013. It has archive material that illustrates how the WI developed on Anglesey and how it has developed into what it is today.  If you would like to visit the Museum and enjoy a meal combined with a historical talk please use the contact form.

The WI plays a unique role in enabling women to turn their interests into achievements and their concerns into campaigns.  So why not enhance your life, make new friends and try one of the WI’s on Anglesey.
